Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into his distinctive style. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway to The Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine can be described as Denise White. While she is living in Atlanta currently, she is born in Chester Pennsylvania. In Chester Pennsylvania she first began her journey as a musician by singing and playing at the church in town. The musical journey began for her in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. In 2005, she was commissioned as the lead keyboardist for Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. In 2007, Grammy and Tony award-winning singer Jennifer Holliday sought her out to be the director of choral for the stage production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was invited to perform during President Obama's inaugural in 2009.
