Whitney Houston and Dana Bash

Whitney Elizabeth Houston is a performer from Newark, New Jersey on the 9th of August 1963. Her parents are gospel superstars Cissy Houston(n e Emily Lee Drinkard), and John Russell Houston Jr. Whitney's cousin Dionne warwick is also a singer. At the age of a small girl, Houston began singing professionally in her church's choir. Houston sang the backing vocals for Chaka Khosns 1978 single Im Every Woman with her mom. After that, she began to join the backing vocals of Lou Rawls and Jermaine and her mother. In 1981, she began singing with New York's funk band Material. It was her quality vocal performance in this band that attracted the attention of record label including Arista. Whitney Houston, her debut album released in 1985, was the most-sold album by an unproven singer. All My Love was released in 1985, and quickly became a number one hit. It was the first US year the album had sold more than 3 million copies. Then it went on to be listened to by more than 25 million people worldwide, earning her her first Grammy. The Whitney follow-up in 1987 with the singles Where Do Broken Hearts GO and I Wanna Dance With Somebody helped to expand on the popularity of her debut album. But it was the 1992 film The Bodyguard that solidified her position as one of the world's most loved performers. While the film wasn't very well received, nor did her performance, but the soundtrack to her Dolly Parton version I Will Always Love You hit the top spot on both singles and albums charts across the US for months. It sold 44,000,000 copies. The same year, she was married former New Edition star Bobby Brown with whom she was the sole parent of their child Bobbi Kristina Brown, born in March 1993. It was about this time that her widely documented drug use began and by 1996 she was a daily addict.

Dana Bash or Dana Ruth Schwartz as she is more well-known as, is an American anchorwoman reporter who also serves as CNN's political anchorwoman and political correspondent. She also produces several of the network's Saturday programs such as Evans & Novak' Late Edition and Inside Politics.' She has worked for other renowned channels, such as NBC as well as CBS.
